TORONTO, ON. — Volvo is returning to the Canadian International AutoShow for 2025 to showcase the latest version of its flagship SUV, the new Volvo XC90.

The new XC90 features exterior design updates, and a suite of enhancements that blend timeless Scandinavian design with cutting-edge innovation. Exterior highlights include a redesigned hood and front bumper, a new iteration of the iconic Thor’s Hammer headlights, and a fresh grille design, specifically designed to fit the iconic Volvo iron mark logo. Carrying on the brand’s long, storied history, this vehicle continues to make safety a priority with an advanced safety cage and Volvo’s latest driver assistance technologies, including collision avoidance systems, blind spot monitoring and intelligent driver alerts.

Inside, the new XC90 has undergone a significant upgrade with Volvo’s new generation user experience, offering intuitive controls and more personalization, all brought to life on an increased 11.2-inch high resolution centre screen.

The new XC90 is offered in both mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains. The plug-in hybrid model delivers an all-electric range of up to 53 km in Pure mode, allowing you to complete shorter commutes or errands with zero tailpipe emissions.

“The XC90 has long been a favourite among Canadians, and it’s easy to understand why,” said Matt Girgis, Managing Director, Volvo Cars Canada. “The new XC90 is a standout in our lineup, delivering exceptional comfort, space, luxury, and efficiency, all while upholding Volvo’s legendary commitment to safety.”

Attendees of the show will get to experience the newly redesigned XC90 firsthand through on-site test drives. Additionally, attendees can test drive the latest vehicles from Volvo’s fully-electric lineup, the EX90 and EX30.

“It’s great to continue our partnership with Volvo and welcome them back to the 2025 AutoShow”, said Jason Campbell, General Manager of the AutoShow. “Last year, Volvo debuted the EX90 at the show, so we are excited for customers to have the opportunity to fully experience it this year with on-site test drives. Also, we are thrilled that this will be the first time the new XC90 is being showcased at an auto show in Canada.”

Volvo’s lineup of vehicles at the AutoShow reflects their commitment to offering a powertrain for every lifestyle. The full display includes:

● New XC90 plug-in hybrid
● EX90 EV
● EX30 EV
